How I Feel

I shot this clip at an art exhibition in Venice, Italy during my visit of June 07. I don't remember the name of the artist who designed the manikin (one of many each doing a senseless act over and over again). However, this one striked me the most. It did not move me at all. It stopped me in my track.

Hi Syrian Brit
So nice to hear from you. I assume from your comment that you were able to see the clip. Funny thing is that after I posted I'm unable to see it for myself.
Please confirm.

Thanx for the link SB,

I can see what you're getting at, I cant say I share the feeling, not yet anyway.

Although, when i read ur post, before i could find the video. The only thing that came to my mind was a set I saw in an exhibition in Tokyo, it was a naked brain moving in all directions, making a small voice, and just moving bumping into walls sometimes turning and sometimes simply stopping for a minute, it got me into a trance, suddenly all i could see was this brain running around all over the place. not sure it was the intended effect, but It was amazing.

This is how I certainly feel about posting video on Blogger.
Now it seems to be working again.
This exhibition was very interesting. The art work was displayed in the backyard of an old church, in the open and underneath covered passageways.

Not sure what should I appreciate more; what you saw, the music, or the editing, they're all perfect!
I have been feeling like this the last few weeks, I woke up at 5 AM this morning and decided that I should kiss it all away..your clip was the closure.
Oh and btw…my tattoo will look way cooler than the one you've put ya Abu Fares ;-)

Hi Cham
Glad you appreciated my clip. But, get out of whatever is bothering you. I'm planning on doing so later on this evening.
Next, I have Haifa in mind :-)
As for YOUR Tatoo, you have to promise me that I'll get my chance to see it... then I'll be the judge.

Hello Abu Fares,,
kifak ya chivarlic:P

The only attracting fact about this is "its reality" .. How redundant and repetient can hours be to the great population on earth,,,
For, i feel that some mountains are bombing into my head not the oppsite,, i rather would drown in a sea or fly with the wind,,,:-)
Thanks for your presence,,

Gosh I DO KNOW the feeling only too well!!! I don't know how often I felt that way over the last number of months .. but I'm an incurable optimist who's always looking for the light at the end of the tunnel and stubbornly refused to throw the towel - and it paid off!
I hope things are looking up dear friend ... !!

BTW, I looove the music!! :-)

I hear you brother and I sympathize with you on the emotional side, but not on the mental side in an effort to stay rational.
I also try not to agree with who said: "Desperation is the raw material of drastic change. Only those who can leave behind everything they have ever believed in can hope to escape." - William S. Burroughs

I think our unattained ability to find reasoning behind a lot of weird difficult times, take us to despair.

My words are not meant to criticize, discourage or encourage, it meant just to say something to someone I feel he is a friend.

All I hope that I wont look like an“….hole” in a situation like this.

HI Shannon
Long time no see.
So you have to go through this type of torture as well.
I already feel better knowing that it's happening to the best of us.

Great "house of poetry" :-)
I kind of go through these mood swings this time of year.
Can't wait for summer to be over. It was never my favorite season.

Hi Fatime

"Most men lead lives of quiet desperation..."
Henry David Thoreau

What can I say except how true.

Hi Karin
You must've known the exact feeling for the last few months (at least).
On the personal level, I'm a carefree person rarely affected by the absurdities of the external world. However, whenever I start thinking about myself as one human in this vast sea of humanity, desperation holds my mind and I force it to let go.
Thankfully, I often succeed.
Thank you my friend.

Your comments are always so very welcome.
As we go through stages in life the more we seriously think about the state of the world the more we end up face to face with the wall of despair. Fortunately, the little pleasures, the sharing and the affection we show each other is so powerful as to sweep the worries away.

Very moving and powerful. We are the dust in the wind that has no past, we are the grains of sand that time forgot.
We have learned nothing, and we are unable to teach nothing to our children.

For you my dear Kaya
"Dust in the Wind" by Kansas.

I close my eyes
Only for a moment, then the momen't gone
All my dreams
Pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind
Same old song
Just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do
Crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind,
ohh Now, don't hang on
Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind Dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
The wind

this is a very dark yet very funny work of art, thanks so much for sharing...

but tell me: "dust in the wind", did you add that, or was that being played in the exhibit space as you recorded?

Thank you for your visit and for commenting on my blog.
I added "Dust in the Wind" and edited the short segment. I found it very fitting. Besides, it's one of my favorite songs.
